Social targets

Social targets for example the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce contest which looked for innovative solutions to growing transit use to 1 billion rides a year in the region; or the 10:10 project which hopes to reduce carbon emissions in the UK by 10% by 2010. The 10:10 project crosses a number of sectors – including business and government and involves schools and organisations across the UK. These kinds of social targets all aim to affect public behaviour and promote a different kind of demand or activity. They encourage innovation in how to meet the target.
