Legislative theatre

Legislative theatre is similar to Forum Theatre, but instead of acting out a scene where someone is being oppressed, the subject of the performance is a proposed new law. Spect-actors can take to the stage, express their opinions and support, oppose or modify any of the proposals. Augusto Boal developed this form of theatre while he was a councillor in Rio de Janeiro. This was recently used in Brighton and Hove to promote public involvement in a health improvement programme.
